Setting Up Google Analytics

So your website is now built, and we have suggested that we install Google Analytics on your site.

Firstly ... what is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports what users are doing on your website.

What kind of data is reported?

Lots - but once you've got Google Analytics installed, you will be able to view statistics on how many people visit your site, how long they are staying, what pages they look at (and more).

Does it cost anything?

Currently its free.  However Google also offer a "premium" service.

How do we get Google Analytics installed?

1. Option 1 - if you are a tech whiz (or don't want to share your Google Account login), login into Google Analytics, accept their terms and conditions and email us the tracking code. We will then install the tracking code on your website.
    
2. Option 2 - provide your Google Account login (if you don't have a Google Account click here), and we will sign you up (please note we will accept Google Analytics Terms and Conditions on your behalf.  If you wish to review these first, read option A above).

When will I start seeing data within Google Analytics?

You should start seeing data within 24 hours.
